Dear World,
I am over the moon to share that my novel, What Would Joan Jett Do? A First Year Teaching, has been longlisted for the Comedy Women in Print Prize! This prize celebrates witty women writers and was founded by none other than legendary funny lady Helen Lederer. I am so honored to be recognized by this amazing organization doing the important work of promoting women writing in comedy. This one’s for everyone along the way who ever told me there are fewer women in comedy because, “girls just aren’t funny.” Who’s laughing now, pals!?
On a note of shameless self promotion, What Would Joan Jett Do? is a complete unpublished manuscript of 90K-ish words and I am seeking agent representation.
